Security Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our client's security operations in the Middle East, a rare opportunity working for a global brand name.

This is a hands-on technical management role covering people leadership, security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, process improvement, and input into security architecture and technology decisions.

Reporting to the Technical Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate will manage the Security Operations team, oversee monitoring and response activities, strengthen security processes, and work closely with technology, business, and senior management stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Security Operations team.
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to security events, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide oversight during security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Identify security exposures and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support and improve security platforms including endpoint protection, SIEM, firewalls, WAF, IPS/IDS, DLP, IAM, email security, web proxies, and related tools.
  • Strengthen security operations processes, reporting, dashboards, and management metrics.
  • Provide security design input to technology teams and production deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.
  • Work with IT, business leaders, vendors, and senior stakeholders to support cyber security objectives.

Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience in information security, cyber security, infrastructure, or related technology areas.
  • Proven abilities in leadership or management experience in a technical or security operations role.
  • Strong experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, intrusion analysis, and security monitoring.
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Windows, workstation, and mobile device security hardening.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security, network security, firewalls, DLP, IAM, SIEM, DAM, and web security controls.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Good understanding of ISO 27001, and information security best practice.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Banking, financial services, or insurance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or ITIL are highly regarded.
